Gwyneth Jones

I'm an industrial and CMF designer with a background in fine woodworking and a long-standing appreciation for materials, details, and how things are made. Recently, I moved to Los Angeles to start a new chapter, meet new people, and find new challenges. Outside of work, I spend as much time as possible in nature, especially if there's water involved, and I have a deep passion for alien movies.

My origin story is in furniture making. What I discovered was that while craftsmanship is important, it doesn't automatically lead to good design. An ugly thing made well is still an ugly thing. That realization pushed me toward industrial design, where I found a career built around curiosity, problem solving, and a healthy amount of persistence.

What I like about design is the opportunity to solve new problems. Give me a challenge and I'll happily deep dive into it. Those moments when I am trying to solve something that doesn't have an obvious answer are what keep me engaged. I'm always interested in meeting other designers, makers, founders, and curious people, so don't hesitate to reach out and introduce yourself.
